Cristina Oliveira was born in OPorto in 1963.
Studied architecture (1984-1988 ESAP), area where she developed much of her activity.
Has worked in several Architecture studios in Lisbon and Oporto.
She was part of the Arraiolos Local Technical Office (GTL), which elaborated the Plan for the Safeguarding of the Historic Center of Arraiolos and subsequent implementation of the Plan - Public Spaces.
She has been an assiduously collaborator of an architecture and planning studio based in Arraiolos.
She works in painting, mix-media, furniture design, sculpture and photo-performance.
Presented and participated in several national and international exhibitions.
She is represented in several private collections in Portugal and abroad.
Started working with photography in 2005, having already participated in photo-festivals, collective and individual exhibitions.
Participated in the workshop - Brief history of photography and digital technique – with the Portuguese photographer José M. Rodrigues.
Published a book with photographic works in 2010.
Is a collaborator of Getty Images since 2013.
Together with the sculptor J. Sotero has began the project Lobo Mau, gallery of contemporary art, in Arraiolos in the year 2008.
From 2010, she was a programmer, event organizer, public relations and other functions necessary for the gallery to run until 2012.
Galeria Lobo Mau organized more than 30 individual and collective exhibitions with artists of various nationalities, as well as events related to music, poetry, video art, performances, street exhibitions, cinema sessions, among other initiatives.
From 2015 to 2017 Cristina Oliveira collaborated with Córtex Frontal artist residency. There, she accomplished several performance | photographic works, two of them in collaboration with some of the residents.
